Frequently Asked Questions
How do you accept payment?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.
Do you accept insurance?
At M. Sanchez Counseling & Psychotherapy, we do not accept insurance and only accept private pay for services. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network reimbursement for therapy services. Upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and it is your responsibility to verify your out-of-network benefits with your insurance provider.
Do you have a sliding scale?
At M. Sanchez Counseling & Psychotherapy, we do not offer a sliding scale for therapy services at this time. We understand the importance of finding affordable care and are happy to provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, or we can offer referrals to providers who may better suit your financial needs.
Do you provide court-related services?
At M. Sanchez Counseling & Psychotherapy, we do not offer court-related services or provide therapy for clients who are court-ordered to attend. If you are involved in a legal matter, it is important to disclose this during the initial consultation so we can guide you toward the most appropriate resources for your needs.
Additional Information
For questions about our rates, services, or payment options, feel free to contact us directly. We are happy to provide further clarification or assist in determining the best service for your needs. A good faith estimate for all services is available upon request, in compliance with the No Surprises Act. See below for more information.

Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Services Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request, or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost you.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are choosing to not use their insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before any medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy of the Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
